WHAT ARE MAGNET PROJECTS?

A 'Magnet Project' can be defined as a project that has the significance and stature to attract new investments, skills and collaborations. Magnets are a catalysts to attract further investment to specific parts of Wales. They complement our City and Growth Deal approach and UK Government initiatives such as Northern Powerhouse and the South-West Alliance, and will promote Wales as a test bed for research and development as well as future cutting edge technologies.
