Wales is a great place to get the balance right.

Wales has three National Parks and five Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The award-winning 1,400 km Wales Coast Path, as well as our mountains, rivers and lakes, draw visitors from all over the world.

Stunning beaches pepper our award-winning 1,400 km long coastal path – the only one in the world to outline a country’s entire coast. With the 285 km Offa’s Dyke pathway trailing our land border with England, you can complete the whole circuit of the country.

Cardiff is one of the UK’s top ten retail locations, while Cardiff Bay’s bars and restaurants make for a vibrant leisure destination.

Wales has a distinctive culture, with two living languages. It has three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and more castles per square kilometre than anywhere else in Europe. And, as well as holding internationally renowned events of our own, like the Hay Literary Festival and Green Man music festival, international events such as the Rugby World Cup and the UEFA Champions League Final are hosted at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, recognised as one the most famous sporting arenas in Europe.
