Why choose us
A thriving base for a variety of sectors
Haven Waterway Enterprise Zone in Pembrokeshire is focused around existing and potential new energy sites, building on the area’s established industry base. The Zone is gaining a marine energy focus, given its deep sea port facilities combined with marine conditions suited to wave and tidal stream technologies.
Today, however, diversity and innovation characterise the range of local businesses and the Zone is particularly keen to support companies in other sectors to locate or expand here, too. Alongside new and established energy businesses and their extensive supply chains, food and tourism businesses, life sciences, ICT and manufacturing firms are flourishing.
Why choose us

A Broad range of Property
This Zone has a diverse range of accommodation; from industrial starter units and offices, to farmland, to access to one of the world’s deepest natural harbours at Milford Haven, you’ll find it here.

Skilled Workforce
Businesses here are well supported by the local and regional universities and colleges, including Pembrokeshire College, with its 8,500 vocational students, which is located right at the heart of the Zone.

Well connected
The M4 is an hour away by car, and Cardiff International Airport is two hours away. There are direct ferry routes to Ireland, Haverfordwest Airport lies within the Zone and Pembrokeshire is connected by rail to London. Benefit from Broadband speeds of up to 80Mbps.

You’re in good company
Key industry players already here include ExxonMobil, Petronas, Puma Energy, Qatar Petroleum, RWE nPower, Valero and Total.
A Diverse Economy
Energy, food and tourism continue to thrive and around 20% of the UK’s energy is supplied from here. Milford Haven’s deep water port represents a strategically important link from the UK to the rest of the world. Our longstanding heritage means we have a strong, local engineering supply chain that’s now rapidly gaining experience in the emerging wave and tidal industry.
The Zone is encouraging non-energy sectors including ICT, life sciences and high-precision manufacturing. New markets are opening up in our established food and tourism sectors, with massive growth being seen at the moment, for example, in the international cruising sector.

Testimonials
Consort was enticed to locate to Milford Haven, which was then a development area, in 1966. For almost 50 years we have received fantastic support from what are now the Welsh Government and Pembrokeshire County Council. The new Enterprise Zone has given us the further incentive to once again invest in the latest capital equipment, keeping the factory at the leading edge of technology, and able to compete in a global market.Managing Director, Consort Equipment
“Our recent engagement with the Welsh Government is a good example of how the public and private sectors co-operate, with the result being greater than the sum of the individual parts. The financial support available to SMEs has enabled us to execute a project that provides business sustainability and growth for the medium and long term.Managing Director, Ledwood Mechanical Engineering
