Now established for 45 years, Arab Health is the largest trade show for the medical sector in the Middle East. With the support of the Welsh Government, a delegation of 11 businesses from Wales (see below) will be attending the event at Dubai World Trade Centre – all taking advantage of an unrivalled opportunity to promote the latest innovations in healthcare technology, products and services from Wales.
The primary goal of Arab Health is to “connect manufacturers and service providers with clinicians, procurement professionals, dealers and distributors” from the Middle East and all over the world. More than 55,000 healthcare professionals from 159 countries are expected to pass through the doors at the 2020 event, to be held between 27 and 30 January.
The Welsh Government has had a permanent base in the United Arab Emirates since 2004, when it opened an office at the British Embassy in Dubai.
Dubai and the UAE represents an attractive market for Welsh exports: English is widely spoken, and the UK expatriate community is estimated at 120,000.
